Statues, Sculptures and Busts

Over the years many memorials, statues or other structures have been created in memory of a family member. In Danylo Apostol’s birth village of Velyki Sorochyntsi, Poltava Oblast, stands a bust of the 18th century Hetman.

A seated statue of Nicola Tereshchenko was erected in Hlukyv to remember his outstanding service as mayor and the family’s generosity over the years to the people of Hlukyv, SUMY Oblast. It was destroyed by the Bolsheviks in 1934.

In 2018, a bust of Nicholas Mouravieff-Apostol-Korobyine was made by the famous sculptor Oleh Prokopchuk in SUMY to be installed in the art museum sponsored by Nicholas in Buryn.
