Envelope containing a dried leaf from the garden where Sergei was allowed to excersise while imprisoned at Peter and Paul Fortress. It was pressed between the pages of Sergei's bible. The Folder also contains a handkerchief that was alleged to have been used to wipe the brow of Sergei Ivanovitch Mouravieff-Apostol following his fall from the gallows after the rope being used broke in the first attempt at execution by hanging.  After about 30 minutes of confusion, a new rope was found and he was hanged again to complete the execution Order.

The silk handkerchief belonged to Sergei Ivanovitch Moravieff-Apostol and was given to his brother following Sergei's execution. According to stories from family members passed thru the years, the handkerchief was used to wipe his brow after the rope broke and he fell to the ground during the first attempted hanging. It was carefully preserved and is stored in the Lausanne University Library family archive.
