Vladimir Vladimirovitch Mouravieff-Apostol-Korobyine was born in Twer, Russia on 9 December 1864, the son of Vladimir Grigorievitch Korobyine and Ekaterina Ilarionovna Bibikova. Through his mother, he descended from the distinguished Mouravieff-Apostol family and was a close relative and chosen heir of the Decembrist Matvei Ivanovitch Mouravieff-Apostol.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 1886, in accordance with Matvei\u2019s wishes, Vladimir assumed the combined surname Mouravieff-Apostol-Korobyine. He subsequently studied at the Department of State Heraldry in St Petersburg and created the family\u2019s combined coat of arms, uniting the Mouravieff, Apostol, and Korobyine traditions beneath the motto <\/span>\u201cTria in Uno\u201d \u2014 \u201cThree in One.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Vladimir entered the Russian diplomatic service and served in Serbia, Greece, Portugal, Germany and Austria-Hungary. At these postings he was Deputy Head of Mission or Charge d’Affaires finally reaching the position of Ambassador. He also\u00a0 attained the rank of State Councilor and held the court title of Chamberlain.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 1884 he married Alexandra Nicolaiovna Tchikhachev and together had two daughters: Svetlana in 1900 and Irina in 1902. The couple divorced in 1907.<\/p>\n

In 1909, he married Nadezhda Fedorovna Tereshchenko and together they had three sons: Vadim in 1911, Andrew in 1913 and Alexis in 1915. During the First World War, the couple supported a hospital for wounded Russian officers in London. Following the Russian Revolution, they lived principally in Cannes and later in Switzerland, preserving the family\u2019s history, archives and traditions in exile. He passed away from a stroke on 14 October 1937 at Springland II in Bursinel, Vaud, Switzerland where he is buried in the family plot located in the commune church cemetary. <\/span><\/p>\n
